Cocoa Beach Florida

Cocoa Beach, Florida is just south of Cape Canaveral. The many hotels are perfect for cruise passengers.

Cocoa Beach is known for surfing, and this is where Florida's surf community is strongest. There are lots of great surfing spots from here south to Sebastian Inlet. Every visitor should go to the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop.

The winter weather is pretty mild. Air temperatures range from about 50 to 70 in January and February. Water temperatures stay in the low 60s as long as the weather remains cool. In the summer you should expect high humidity and a high temperature of about 90. Evening thunderstorms are common between June and September.

It's easy to get there from Port Canaveral. From the Port, take A1A south right into the middle of Cocoa Beach. From the Orlando Airport, take the Beachline Expressway east. The highway turns into A1A, leading you to the beach.

Cocoa Beach Florida has 6 miles of beaches; 3 oceanfront parks with restrooms, showers and picnic tables; a 27-hole public golf course on the Banana River; a public tennis complex with lighted courts, a wide variety of restaurants; and a beach trolley system to get you around town. Cocoa Beach is the closest beach to Walt Disney World and is just a few minutes from Port Canaveral.
