Carnival Cruises specials are the best of any cruise line. They offer great deals, particularly on cruises leaving within the next 30 days. Disney Cruise Line doesn't list many deals on their website -- but you can sometimes save 50% or more off the brochure rate on a Disney cruise at an online cruise agency. If you've sailed with a cruise line before, you can often get an excellent deal as a returning passenger. Be sure to ask.

The online cruise agencies have more deals than the cruise lines are promoting. Check two or three sites for deals - you'll find that they're not all the same.

You can also look for last minute cruise bargains. The popularity of cruises have reduced the number of these specials because ships are selling out early. But if you want to leave soon, last minute deals are certainly worth a look.

The best time of year to book a cruise is from January to March. So many vacationers shop for cruises that time of year that the cruise lines offer discounts and upgrades to get their attention. It's a real frenzy of cruise sales.
